Expensive Titans vs Cheap Titans
The base-element titans (Fire/Earth/Water) are overall less expensive than the Darkness/Light Titan teams.
All titans effectively use the same materials to level up; the same titan exp potions, the same titan skin stones, and the titan artifact pieces all cost the same. So what's the difference?
The Fire/Earth/Water Totems require Guild War Trophies to level them up
The Darkness/Light Totems require Clash of Worlds Trophies to level them up.
Clash of Worlds trophies will require you to be in a guild that can win Clash of Worlds matches, and the new player may not be in such a guild.
The Best Titans for the Dungeon
One of the best ways to farm gold is to go deep in the dungeon!
Unfortunately your titans do not heal between fights.....
There are a few titans that can heal your team! These titans should be used on the multi-element titan fights in the dungeon, to heal up your weak and damaged titans.
Healing Titans like Hyperion and Iyari are a great strategy for this!
(but you'll also need tanks, supports, and damage dealers)
Should You Build Titan Teams Based on Guild's Needs?
The strategy I used when first starting out was what my guild needed most. We never could finish off all of the water titan teams, so I leveled up earth titans to counter them.
This is always a viable strategy because there will always be times when you need to fight a specific element on defense.

What's the Best Way to get Specific Titan Soul Stones?
There isn't a regular way to farm for specific titan soul stones.
The best we can do is wait for an event that's focused on the titan or elements that we want to build, and go deep on those events!
